Carnival Cruise Ship Collides with Massive Wave: 39 Feared Dead in Tragic Shipwreck

The vessel, identified as the Carnival Ocean Breeze, departed from Miami three days ago on what was supposed to be a week-long tropical voyage to the Caribbean. However, tragedy struck late Tuesday evening when a massive, unexpected wave — described by survivors as a “towering wall of water” — slammed into the starboard side of the ship during rough seas.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and maritime investigators are now launching a full-scale investigation into the ship’s stability protocols, emergency procedures, and the accuracy of weather routing provided to the captain. Questions are being raised about whether Carnival adequately prepared for extreme maritime events — especially as climate change is believed to be making such waves more frequent.
As night falls again over the Atlantic, hopes remain that more survivors will be found. But for many families, this cruise has turned from a dream vacation into an unimaginable horror.
